Biography
Dr. Jon Wheeler
grew up in Whitehouse, TX (near Tyler) and later
graduated from Texas A&M University. He then moved to Dallas, TX where
he studied at Baylor College of Dentistry. During his residency, he had
the opportunity to work with a variety of pediatric patients at the
Baylor College of Dentistry clinic, Children's Hospital of Dallas,
Texas Scottish Rite Hospital, and public clinics run through the
Dallas Health Programs. At the Children's Hospital of Dallas,
each of Dr. Wheeler's patients had a pressing medical condition,
for example, asthma, hemophilia, cancer, or organ transplants. At
Texas Scottish Rite Hospital, his patients all had neuromuscular
problems including cerebal palsy and some rarer conditions. After
completing his residency, Dr. Wheeler worked with a large private practice
in Alaska. Here he saw numerous children with extensive decay. Often
these children traveled great distances to visit the dentist. Dr.
Wheeler's wide range of experience has prepared him to handle even the
most difficult cases.
Dr. Wheeler and his wife, Julie, moved to Houston to be close to their
families as they started their own. Jon and Julie are enjoying their life
as parents after the birth of their daughter Peyton Ann in July 2004 and Jonathan Collin in February 2006. They
chose to make The Woodlands their home because of the opportunities
available to children and the quality of life it offers families. Dr.
Wheeler hopes that his practice makes living near The Woodlands even
better for you and your children.
